Tasks
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for:
- Manage day to day accounting A/P and A/R tasks
- Maintain internal process controls and approvals
- Vendor maintenance, invoice entry and payments
- Preparation and payment of local taxes and fees
- Maintain and monitor bank accounts
- Work with Accounting Team to facilitate month end and year end close
- Process reimbursements for employees and students
- Create invoices, process incoming payments
- Manage asset accounting, depreciation, accruals, amortizations, etc.
- Work with Accounting Team in Germany on intercompany transactions
- Facilitate yearly internal audit
- Prepare financial reports and communicate with Senior Management
- Special projects as assigned

Requirements
To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:
- High school certificate,A level/ Abitur or equivalent required
- Vocational Training desirable
- Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting desirable
- Experience with SAP ERP system preferred
- Entry Level Accounting experience, via internship or work experience
- Knowledge of accounting functions, A/P, A/R, cash reporting, depreciation, prepay accounts
- Fluency in English language required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Teams
- Excellent cost consciousness
- Excellent detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent understanding of mathematical concepts
- Excellent productivity driven
- Willingness to travel
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Constant time pressure

- Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
