Position Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting duties including invoicing customers, tracking and coding expenses, financial statement analysis and maintaining compliance data.

- Maintains a variety of records and reports, compiling statistical or accounting information as requested. Provides reports to external and internal customers.
- Receive and log in all vendor invoices.
- Code invoices and employee expense reports and obtain management approval before entering to A/P.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries.
- Perform monthly account reconciliation on selected accounts.
- Seeks innovative ways to improve processes and/or procedures.
- Special projects on an as needed basis.
- Maintain reliable, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Successful completion and favorable results of pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
- Adhere to all Aero Air policies and standards of conduct.
- Other duties as directed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; must have intermediate MS Excel experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person, on the phone, and through written correspondences.
- The ability to demonstrate poise, tact, and professionally interact and communicate with employees, vendors, and individuals at all levels of the organization and community.
- Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or similar field, preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years general accounting experience including AP/AR, preferably in a high-volume accounting environment.
- A combination of education and experience that provides the individual with requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
- General knowledge of accounting principles and standards including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch throughout the day.
- Accurate hand/eye coordination.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
