SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant will report to the VP of Finance to aid in the month-end general ledger close, analyze financial information, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, and prepare necessary adjusting entries.
• Develops financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, and trending.
• Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with annual budget process, audits, and special projects.
• Prepare journal entry to post payroll activity to the general ledger.
• Assists with inventory audit reconciliations.
• Work cooperatively and actively with accounting team and others in the company to drive continuous process improvement in own job and in the function.

• Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor&39;s degree in Accounting required; 
• Previous corporate accounting experience required
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles
• Very strong aptitude for business software applications, including proficiency with general ledger and spreadsheet programs; Knowledge of Sage Pro accounting software a plus.
