Role Introduction
Reports to: Airline Partnerships & Tariffs Manager
The Alliances and Airline Partnerships Specialist sits under the Revenue Department of Cathay Pacific will manage a portfolio of airline partners with the aim of maximizing revenue for Cathay Pacific. The Alliances and Airline Partnerships Specialist will also be responsible for negotiating, implementing and maintaining different forms of airline partnerships, such as interline & codeshare, HK Express, intermodal, joint venture, FFP (Frequent Flyer Program), oneworld, and/or lounges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing new partnership initiatives to maximize revenue for Cathay Pacific (CX)
- Conduct data analysis and regular reviews in the assigned portfolios (Interline & Codeshare / Intermodal / HK Express / Joint Ventures, FFP, oneworld, and lounges)
- Maintain strong relationships with partners and/or stakeholders in the assigned portfolio
- Promote airline partnerships to internal users to ensure maximum value of each partnership is derived across the organization.
- Conduct industry research when required.
- Protect CX revenue by coordinating with Revenue Management, other related departments, and partners to prevent fraudulent and/or abusive activities.
- Participate in system development projects to provide business requirements and cost/benefit analysis
- Embrace teamwork within and between sections / departments
- Support the Assistant Airline Partnerships Manager in handling day-to-day issues and studies when needed. Deputise when required
Requirements
- Degree holder, major in Business Administration, Statistics, Aviation or related field is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of working experience, with preference given to airline or related experience
- Experience in data analytical tools (e.g. Qlikview, Qlik Sense, Alteryx, Tableau) will be an advantage
- Embrace changes and able to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and is able to make insight-led decisions
- Strong relationship building skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Must be fluent in English and Chinese (both written and spoken)
