Akima Systems Engineering ASE, an Akima company, is looking to hire an Announcing Tech Specialist to join our team out of Suffolk, VA.  You will be troubleshooting announcing systems onboard US Naval Ships.

• Performs work under general supervision.
• provide testing, inspection, field changes, repairs for Interior Communication systems
• Verify conformance to operational properties for IC announcing systems.
• Participate in meeting with management.
• Ability to travel up to 30.
• Coordinate shipment of equipment and testing systems.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• 5-10 years installation of electronic/electrical systems experience.
• Connector certifications.
• Ability to use MS Office Suite.
• Ability to use electronic test equipment for use in trouble shooting.
• Able to read and interpret block, elementary and isometric wiring diagrams.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift equipment up to 50LBS.
• Must be able to travel approximately 30 as needed.
