Summary:
Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components based on blueprints and engineering drawings
Perform terminations, ring-out, and functional testing of avionics/electrical systems
Maintain accurate logs and records of all work performed
Ensure all work meets FAA regulations and customer specifications
Inspect completed work to ensure a defect-free final product
Follow all safety procedures, including FOD prevention, tool control, and 5S practices
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Maintain and properly care for shop tools and equipment
Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events)
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics
OR two (2) years of related work experience
OR avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one (1) year of related experience
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
Familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements and customer specifications
Computer literacy and general software proficiency
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be detail-oriented and able to complete tasks within set timeframes
Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and programs
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
