Key Responsibilities:Flight Training Instructional Systems Designers (FTISD) are responsible for the design and development of pilot training content using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies. Duties include but are not limited to the design and development of eLearning content, technical manuals, and pilot training materials. This can include graphics, audio, video, animation, and other digital media included in pilot training. This role is responsible for instructional design, training content, and eLearning module development. Position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing revisions
of technical instructional manuals. Experience in planning, time management, and executing projects in group settings and individually is required for long-term success in this role. May perform other job duties as directed by leadership.
This position is on-site in Denver 5 days/week. It is not eligible for relocation. It is not hybrid or remote.
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Required Qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of experience in Instructional Systems Design or a related field.
• 2-3 years of technical writing experience, with specific emphasis on authoring of complex technical training materials.
• 2-3 years of e-learning module or courseware development experience, with specific emphasis on complex technical topics.
• Ability to write, update, edit and review technical documentation using established formats, styles, and guidelines.
• Knowledge of and ability to consistently apply basic editorial standards.
• Proficient using technical authoring tools.
• Proficient performing detailed development of eLearning modules or courseware.
• Experience working in a team environment with multiple, concurrent projects and deadlines.
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
• Master’s degree in Instructional Design.
• eLearning Development Certification.
• 5+ years experience in technical writing.
• Experience with Articulate Storyline 360.
• Experience using ADDIE development methods.
• Thorough knowledge of curriculum design and development.
• Experience with Oxygen authoring software.
• Proven experience as a technical writer or in a related role within the aviation
industry or a highly regulated environment.
• Written and verbal communication skills, including editing course content for
correct punctuation, syntax, and grammar.
• Knowledge of graphic arts design, multimedia production, video, and digital
photography.
The compensation amount listed below is the MONTHLY rate.
Starting hourly rates are subject to the collective bargaining agreement.
The starting rate for this role is $6,688.37.
This is also a bonus eligible position (i.e. profit sharing).
