How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Network Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia. Key Responsibilities: Assist with planning, designing, and delivering network solutions for Delta’s Airports, Campus, RES Centers, WAN Hubs, and various outstations while integrating them into Deltas overall network architecture and design strategy. Assist Network Architects engaged in designing, testing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure.Responsible for project planning and building network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, including documenting current and future requirements, planning analysis, assisting with solution development, and helping to estimate timelines for project implementation. Successfully develop and leverage vendor relationships to deliver network products and services. Ensure network performance and reliability meet enterprise objectives for timely service restoration and tuning. Work with the Enterprise Architecture Team to develop and define network architecture which incorporates standards, practices, processes, and products for the enterprise. Collaborate with partner Voice and security teams. Telecommuting permitted up to two days per week. 10 domestic travel required to other Delta offices.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Security, Information Technology, or related field, and five years of experience in routing and switching or Wi-Fi/security. In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Security, Information Technology, or related field, and two years of experience in routing and switching or Wi-Fi/security.Must have Cisco Certification – CCNA. Must have experience in:Using Wide Area networking topologies and common architectures to build Equinix Colo’s and implement Cisco ACI; Performance routing (Pfr), WAN resiliency, DMVPN, ACLs, Vrfs and encryption standards; Cisco catalyst architecture, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASR9K’s and products; MPLS, Internet, and Data center interconnect (DCI) architectures; OSPF, BGP, HSRP, STP, RSTP, BPDU, IS-IS, VLAN technologies and their applications; and Network automation or programming including Python or YAML.
