The Advanced Networking Solutions engineering organization, located in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Principal Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join our hardware engineering team as onsite Lead Hardware Engineer for the Cooperative Engagement Capability program. This position is onsite and requires a current DoD Secret security clearance
In this position you will be responsible for managing and maintenance of the program budget and schedule, as well as intensive coordination across stakeholders to meet the objectives of the program. You will be involved in all phases of the product life, including design, brainstorming sessions, supplier support, manufacturing support, and other sustaining activities.
What You Will Do:
Product Release Manager and Product Owner for the Hardware team interfacing directly with the Chief Engineer, Program Managers and other IPT leads to prioritize tasks, define scope and ensure technical goals are achieved.
Responsible for capturing lessons learned.
Take ownership of technical project execution through Design & Development activities into Qualification and Production.
Interface and present project status to multiple levels of program and customer leadership.
Work as part of a cohesive team with test engineering, product engineering, system engineering, software engineering, program management and Operations.
Maintain and oversee Earned Value Management as a Work Package Manager and/or Cost Account Manager.
Breakdown Work Package and tasking for execution.
Outstanding communication skills, especially cross-discipline.
Exhibit a positive attitude and great mentoring/delegating skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and skills facilitating working in a team environment.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
Agile Experience (Jira experience preferred).
EVMS/CAM Experience.
Experience in Systems/Hardware Requirement/artifact breakdown.
Active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Proficiency in 2D and 3D mechanical drawing tools (Creo Parametric).
Experience in PTC Windchill Common Product Data Management (PDM).
Experience with US Naval system of systems architectures and technologies, including combat systems and networking.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
