Job overview and responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Senior Manager - IT Quality position is to lead a team of quality engineers to enhance the reliability and performance of services provided to our customers. This group also oversees the testing and certification of all applications. This role is accountable for the evaluation and implementation of standards and procedures which support the enterprise’s application testing. The manager directs multiple teams of QA Engineers and Analysts involved in the analysis, design and development of large scale applications which may include both projects and programs. Interacts directly with the client and support team members across the IT organization. Ensures projects/programs are completed within the committed time and budget and are integrated with other software applications. This Sr. Manager is accountable for maximizing the productivity of the applications staff and the maintainability of software systems, keeps abreast of new technologies, incorporates those technologies when appropriate and motivates others to utilize them. This Sr. Manager tasked with understanding all of the operating policies and procedures of the enterprise.
· Business Interface: Establish and maintain strong business relationships with both senior and operating level business leader. Understand and provide recommendations for improvement of Business Processes by leveraging existing IT capabilities, identifying improvements to existing IT capabilities and define new strategic IT capabilities. Educate business partners on roles, responsibilities, processes and deliverables required to ensure effective delivery of new technology solutions. Responsible for escalating, assisting and follow-through on resolution of issues related to delivery of technology solutions. Engage and ensure effective delivery of business deliverables and tasks with business partners for delivery of technology solutions (development of business requirements, scope management, training business change management and deployment).
· IT Process Mgmt. and Administrative:Define, prioritize, allocate resources, track and provide status reporting of work assignments, projects, programs. Budget and cost management for the projects/programs. Ensure IT application development process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QE, etc.) and standards are established, effectively managed and performed.
· Application Delivery/Support Responsible for aligning delivery success criteria with business partners, managing project delivery through validation and testing, within budget, schedule, and quality, and ensuring technology solutions meet architectural standards. Track progress, communicate status to senior leadership, and manage application issues according to agreed SLAs. Additionally, develop strategies for software build management, maintain documentation on processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and release management. As a subject matter expert, identify solutions for complex issues and define project scope to achieve business goals and objectives. Shift left specifically in the quality engineering space but using automation and AI.
· Organizational Effectiveness / People: Provide leadership in setting department and individual goals. Develop and maintain a sourcing plan to ensure supply capacity meets demand, role requirements, and cost objectives. Assess and recommend improvements to organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities. Oversee performance assessments, improvement plans, and employee career development and training.

QualificationsQualifications - External
Required
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
· 15+ years of digital technology experience.
· 10+ years of hands on experience supporting Quality Engineering.
· Must be legally authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship in India.
· Experience performing the duties related to software configuration management and use of automated tools to automatically install software builds to a variety of computing hardware technologies.
· Experience in application development, multiple major project delivering of med-large scale projects/programs.
· Experience required in multiple technical platforms, operating systems, databases and development languages including but not limited to web, mainframe, Unix and Client Server. Must have worked within a multi-disciplined, cross-functional technical organization with matrixes reporting relationship.
Preferred
· Masters degree.
· Experience in travel industry, especially airline related is a significant plus.
