What You Will Do:
Promote a team environment that is able to share ideas and responsibilities
Ensure software engineers at various levels of experience have the support and resources they need to be successful
Provide technical, administrative and financial direction to team members and set priorities
Provide guidance to direct reports on application of the Software Development Process across the Life Cycle activities for Software Development Programs
Support recruitment and hiring activities to open and fill requisitions
Perform supervisory duties such as performance reviews, corrective action plans, recommendations for promotions, rewards and recognitions, timecard approval
Responsible for ensuring company, site, and program processes are followed
Provide support to program business activities e.g. contract deliverable documents, proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost/labor estimates, customer directed quick-turn tasks
Represent the team and highlight accomplishments to customer representatives

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires Bachelorss in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) STEM and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or equivalent experience.
5+ years software/system/product development experience
Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
Experience with DevOps practices and Atlassian Tool suite
Experience and interest in creation or improvement of engineering development processes
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications we prefer:
Communication and presentation experience .
Experience working with multiple client communication both in person and remote.
Experience in a software management or software lead role where you led/managed engineers and received/provided feedback
Coaching, teaching, and/or mentoring skills
Strong emotional intelligence skills (i.e. self-awareness, self-management, empathy, social awareness, relationship management)
Working collaboratively in a team environment

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
