Job Description:

Tasks

  • Monitor and manage requests for landing gear components and standard parts
  • Source components globally and obtain competitive quotes
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors
  • Coordinate component overhauls with Engineering and Production
  • Identify and initiate onboarding of new suppliers
  • Place and track purchase orders for components before and during overhaul events
  • Oversee supply chain until goods are received by the Warehouse
  • Follow up on open orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Proactively address delivery delays with suppliers
  • Resolve invoice issues in coordination with Finance and Strategic teams
  • Work with Warehouse to manage quarantined items
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and internal controls

Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant area (Logistics, Purchasing, or similar)
  • Professional experience in material purchasing or technical background is a plus
  • Experience in business negotiations is a plus
  • Familiarity with material resource planning systems, preferably SAP is a plus
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team spirit and sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to virtual teams
  • A proactive mindset to generate new ideas and identify improvement opportunities
  • Cultural competence
  • Good analytical skills
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Computer literate
