PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a dedicated Inspection & Quality Technician for a full-time consulting position at a leading aerospace manufacturer in Carroll, IA. This is an exciting 12-month opportunity with temp-to-perm potential, ideal for someone looking to start or advance their career in quality assurance within the aerospace industry.
What You’ll Do
As an Inspection & Quality Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring product excellence by conducting precise inspections and maintaining compliance to the highest standards. You will:
Inspect electronic units, assemblies, raw materials, and tooling using instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Perform receiving, in-process, final inspections, and First Article Approvals
Use blueprints, specs, and procedures to validate components and assemblies
Operate computer systems for inspection tasks and documentation
Conduct visual and physical inspections to ensure quality integrity
Complete unit shakedowns and verify documentation accuracy
Manage inspection files and conduct Preliminary Material Reviews as needed
Adhere to EHS, Quality, and Continuous Improvement standards
Shift Options and Pay
2nd Shift: +$1.50/hr shift differential
3rd Shift: +$2.00/hr shift differential
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Base Pay: $18.00/hour
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn inspection processes
Comfortable using basic measurement tools and computer systems
Preferred Traits
Prior experience in inspection, quality control, or manufacturing is a plus
Understanding of blueprint reading and documentation review

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
