Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supplier Program Management Specialist to join our Boeing Exploration Systems (Human Space Flight) team in Huntsville, AL, Washington, D.C., Kennedy Space Center, FL, Chicago, IL, Berkeley or Hazelwood, MO, Philadelphia, PA, or Arlington, VA.
The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for supplier development effort with a primary focus in propulsion from specification refinement, design reviews, part qualifications, to production for complex assemblies and parts for program. This position allows telecommuting (hybrid). The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead supplier engagement and actively manage recovery strategies and supplier performance
Establishes technical and business direction and processes to meet financial, delivery and product conformity targets
Develops and leads company procurement and contractual strategies for key suppliers, and programs
Provides technical oversight and guidance of strategic supplier plans
Directs the development of recovery plans
Establishes technical and business guidance to meet financial, delivery and product conformity targets
Identifies strategic work movement projects and plan elements
Works directly with program IPT and Engineering personnel to develop solutions to complex issues
Works directly with strategic customers to develop concepts and requirements for future business opportunities
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Technical Bachelors, Masters or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)
10+ years of experience in managing supplier performance
10+ years of experience in program/project management or supplier management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working in development environment in Engineering, Supply Chain, Program or Project Management
5+ years of experience working with propulsion components or processes
5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

Summary pay range:
Huntsville, AL, Kennedy Space Center, FL, Berkeley or Hazelwood, MO: $154,700 – $191,100
Washington, D.C., Chicago, IL, Philadelphia, PA, Arlington, VA: $165,750 - $204,750
