Gary Jet Center is an established Aircraft Charter and Management Company with a full Part 145 Repair station, and we are looking for a self-motivated individual for a full time position in our Maintenance Department as an A&P Helicopter Mechanic. This position will report to the Director of Maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- This position will be a team member on our FAA 145 Repair station
- Ability to perform maintenance on turbine powered helicopters, with a strong focus on Bell 206, 407 and 429. Bell and Rolls-Royce Factory training preferred
- Track and Balance experience preferred
- Direct involvement in the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of helicopter fleet
- Broad based with sharp troubleshooting capabilities as well as a willingness to learn and continue to grow
- Understanding of the FAA regulations with a customer centric approach to problem solving
- Enthusiastic demeanor with a professional style of communication
- Experience with Bell helicopters and strong avionics troubleshooting capabilities
Job Requirements
- High school diploma is required; Associates Degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance is desired
- FAA Mechanic&8217;s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating is required
- Three (3) years of experience in helicopter maintenance environment is preferred
- Demonstrated avionics systems troubleshooting knowledge is desired
- Strong computer skills including CAMP, Traxall, Corridor, Word, Excel and project management applications is desired
- Demonstrated project management skill is desired
- Must pass and comply with FAA Approved Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Programs
- U.S. Military Veterans are well appreciated
