PDS Tech is hiring an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to support high-throughput, custom automated systems in a cutting-edge laboratory environment. Assignment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $30.59/hour
Shift: Monday – Friday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on custom automated and robotic systems
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components to minimize downtime
Diagnose issues involving motors, sensors, actuators, and automated control systems
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system updates using CMMS
Create and update maintenance procedures and technical documentation
Support testing, optimization, and continuous improvement of automation equipment
Collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, and Operations teams to support production goals
Safely operate hand tools, shop tools, and diagnostic equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work independently or as part of a team as operational needs require
Qualifications3–6 years of experience in automation, robotics, or automated equipment maintenance
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
Experience working with sensors, motors, actuators, drives, and control components
Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
SolidWorks experience preferred but not required
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work around active machinery
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Pay Details: $30.59 per hour
