Job Description
Field Service Technician in the Fort Cavazos Vehicle Deprocessing yard.
Assembles, installs, tests, maintains, troubleshoots tactical vehicles.
Ensures products are in compliance with production, customer and contractual requirements.
Conducts routine tests and inspections on products and prepares preliminary report and/or documentation.
Sets up and operates equipment.
Records equipment data.
Extracts and analyzes a variety of basic engineering data.
May interface with customer in technical matters.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety and environmental policies and objectives.
Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Must be able to qualify for and maintain a DOD CAC (Common Access Card) to access US military installations.

Job Requirements:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School or equivalent education.
Subject matter expert on BAE Systems produced tracked vehicles.
Five years of maintenance experience on tracked vehicle platforms.
Three years of experience with OEM deprocessing and / or fielding with one or more of the following vehicle platforms:
M2A2 ODS-SA, M2A3, M2A4, M7A3, M7A4, M109A7, M993A2
Ability to work from engineer drawings, technical manuals and electrical schematics.
Detailed knowledge of the US Army Maintenance Management System.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to research, gather and analyze technical information.
Ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels, inside and outside the organization.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Veteran with 7 years of experience on tracked vehicle platforms.
Five years of experience with OEM deprocessing and / or fielding with one or more of the following vehicle platforms:
M2A2 ODS-SA, M2A3, M2A4, M7A3, M7A4, M109A7, M993A2
Proficient with email and calendar software applications.
Working knowledge of DSESTS and/or other automated automotive or electronic test equipment.
Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources; correspondence, presentations or reports.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $52955 - $84728

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
