Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on Abrams tanks (M1A1 SA, M1A2 SEP V2, SEP V3)
- Execute and install Modification Work Orders (MWOs) on vehicle systems and components
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using technical manuals, flow diagrams, and diagnostic procedures
- Perform repairs on vehicle systems, subsystems, and components
- Maintain accountability of special tools, test equipment, and assigned property
- Support maintenance, fielding, and retrofit operations as directed by leadership
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. military installations (NACI clearance if required)
- Minimum 1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience with Abrams tanks (M1A1, M1A2 SEP V2/V3) preferred
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts
- Certifications/Requirements:
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a tank driver’s license
- Ability to pass Abrams Job Proficiency Certification
- Must meet anthropometric (ASR) requirements for operating military vehicles
- Physical Requirements:
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs, climb, and work at heights
- Work in extreme temperatures and outdoor environments
- Work Environment:
- Ability to work independently alongside government personnel
- Travel:
- Willingness to travel for maintenance, fielding, and retrofit operations (CONUS)
