Do you have a passion for aviation, specifically helicopters and aspire to teach the next generation of aviation maintainers? If so, were recruiting for a B1.3 Aircraft Instructor to join our team on a permanent basis.
The opportunity will see you training and developing the next generation of ADF aircraft maintenance engineers. In accordance with the ADFs regulatory requirements, youll be involved in the delivery of CH-47F academic, practical and on-the-job training and assessment to provide job ready, confident and competent maintenance technicians.
Team members work as an imbedded workforce to support the customers personnel training requirements. This role offers an exciting and unique opportunity whereby we as a customer focused team:
- Develop and implement methods of face-to-face training as well as exploring student centred learning methodologies.
- Developing training materials and practical activities to consolidate the trainees learning experience.
- Providing exceptional support to students and key stakeholders within the Army Aviation industry located at Swartz Barracks, Oakey.
The Opportunity
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Instructor / Assessor (B1.3 Aircraft)for the CISS Program within the CH47F Maintenance Training Team. Your exceptional training and leadership skills can provide you with a challenging role in a unique environment.
The role is based at based at Army Aviation Training Centre, Swartz Barracks, Oakey, QLD.
As a Maintenance Instructor / Assessor (B1.3 Aircraft)you will:
- Delivery of contracted technical mechanical trade training in a theory and practical environment, in accordance with appropriate Learning Management Packages (LMPs) and schedules.
- Working in the capacity of a CH47F Course Manager in accordance with AATTs Course Management procedures.
- Development of training package materials through continuous improvement activities.
- Review and amendment of assessment instruments.
- Support the Training Team Senior in the CH47F Maintenance Training Facility.
- Support to the CISS Program and Capability Managers with CH47 Training Program Execution as directed.
- Maintain currency on Aircraft Type as a maintainer, as part of continuous improvement.
- Support the development of the Customers DASR 147 Training System.
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience CH47F Aircraft Type Qualification (B1.3 MAML), or equivalent and 10 years experience as a Rotary Wing B1.3 Aviation Maintenance Tradesperson, Aviation Supervisor, and/ or Aviation Maintenance Manager.
- Must hold a Certificate IV in Aero skills (Mechanical)
Desirable:
- Experience with the delivery of training in the Defence environment.
- Interpersonal skills to work in a multi-trade team environment.
- Hold a Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) or equivalent qualification, or willingness to achieve this qualification as part of your role.
- Understanding of DASA Part 147 and 66 Regulations.
- Highly competent Aeroskills Instructor/Mentor/Coach and Courseware Development skills.
