OnsiteThe Maintenance Technician II – 1st Shift performs a variety of maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and all other equipment in the facility. Duties involve machine repair, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
What You Will Do:
Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems.
Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.
Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.
Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.
Under limited supervision, performs a variety of routine and simplistic facilities maintenance duties in company buildings and surrounding property; including painting, general repairs, furniture moves.
Maintaining and recommending spare parts.
Following and understanding all applicable policies and procedures.
Complies with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturers specifications and safety policies.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
5+ years experience on High Vacuum system and/or High Pressure pumps.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Overtime eligible.
Previous experience on Vacuum Coating System
May be standing for 8+ hours and may be required to lift/move heavy parts and/or equipment weighing up to 55 pounds.
Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic equipment experience.
The ability to successfully complete training modules associated with job grade.
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail to ensure safety and quality.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens, and learning new software programs.
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to effectively work with and take direction from more experienced coworkers, supervisors and production managers.
