Roles and Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an NDT Inspector at GE Aerospace, you will be responsible for performing specific tests as well as calibrations according to written instructions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualified associate who assumes these responsibilities should possess:
- Knowledge of applied mathematics
- Knowledge of blueprints/schematic reading
- Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to perform precise and detailed work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs specific inspections to written instructions.
- Interpret specifications, evaluate parts, and test results.
- Perform process control checks and calibrations to written instructions.
- Maintain a 6S work environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months-1 year of NDT (Preferred)
- Manufacturing background
- Certified in NDT methods
The qualified associate who assumes these responsibilities will be expected to:
- Understand how to identify and effectively use a variety of power and hand tools
- Read, understand and utilize procedures, detailed computerized build plans, and basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to perform precise and detailed work
- Communicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal within the team
- Follow and promote safe work practices
