Role Overview:Manufacturing Test Engineer will be the primary interface between manufacturing, program management, Requisition engineering & quality for all manufacturing test process development, conducting Electrical Testing and trouble shooting.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment
- Serve as an active member of new product development teams and has the lead responsibility for ensuring design for testability (DFT)
- Define the software and hardware requirements for production level tests
- Justify and procures test hardware and other capital expenditures needed for production test
- Setup and deploys test hardware, software, stations, etc. in production
- Train test technicians in the use of test equipment, test process and coach the testing team
- Communicate and implement Engineering Change Order (ECO) driven changes to test process and fixtures for all levels of testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to plan test development schedules and allocate resources
- Benchmark and investigate new test technologies and test equipment for current and future products
- Lead and drive continuous improvement projects
- Other duties as required
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Minimum of 5-8 years related working experience in testing Power cabinets, control panels, converters, inverters, DCS, switch gears etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated test equipment ( functional testing, Load test , Hydro test ,etc)
- Experience developing hardware/software test processes
- Experience with LabVIEW , Toolbox ST
