What you will need to be successful in this role:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 15 years military aviation maintenance experience. The desired candidate will have significant experience managing organizational level maintenance activities attached to a US Navy or US Marine Corps Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) or operational tactical aircraft squadron as a senior leader. The ideal candidate will have this experience in a USN or USMC CV/MV-22 squadron.
- Minimum 5 years military aviation maintenance control or quality control experience.
- Capable of notifying and coordinating daily with the COR for any disparities
- It is desired the PM has experience developing and maintaining contractor availability and non-availability schedules and providing them to the COR to identify any gaps in qualifications during shifts.
- Ability to travel as required to the corporate offices in Wood Dale, Illinois and as directed by the customer.
Year One Critical Success Factors:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Program Manager will lead a team of up to 70 personnel providing support. Three specific areas involve aircraft maintenance, warehouse/supply chain management, support equipment maintenance, administrative support personnel (e.g. Logs and Records).
- Coordinate with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for all matters pertaining to successful execution of the contract.
- Recommend changes to team structure to make more effective use of assigned personnel.
