Job overview and responsibilities
- To provide business leadership, operational direction and quality control procedures and ensure that aircraft inspections are carried out in accordance with Federal Air Regulations and the United Airlines Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMPs)
- Position is a supervisory member of the Air Carriers Inspection Unit in compliance with 14CFR121.369(8) and 14CFR121.371b and as such has inspection decision authority and responsibility
- Participates as a partner with the overall Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effective
- Monitor and manage Daily Operational plan execution and follow up
- Monitor and control compliance of FAA Approved Required Inspections and other Inspection tasks performed
- Monitor and adjust as necessary the Inspection Unit’s quality performance and controls
- Implement Continuous Process Improvements for processes, tooling and quality systems
- Provide quality process support overall maintenance organization
- Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, safety and human resource related performance
- Maintain a high level of communication with all employee groups within the stations
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country.
Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.
