Job Summary
Responsible for the coordination of payroll processing operations for the payroll team. Monitors workflow, team assignments, and processing deadlines. Verifies accurate calculations of wages, tax withholding and company deductions. Assist team with members with resolving errors or responding to inquiries. May prepare reports on employee pay, bonuses, vacation, sick etc. Provides training to team on policies, regulations, and processes. Oversee all functions of multi-state, in- house, full cycle bi-weekly payroll, including time and attendance. Analyze, manage, and resolve tax related issues to ensure company is in compliance with Federal and States Laws.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Ability to multitask on a wide variety of payroll related tasks, including preparing materials for legal, audits, and other department requests.
- Continually seek efficiencies in processes and recommend improvements.
- Set-up, maintain, and reconcile payroll tax withholdings.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and all payroll related tasks.
- Process, audit, and distribute bi-weekly pre-payroll and post payroll tasks.
- Test and analyze payroll processes, including time and attendance system changes.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with teammates
- Identify and resolve compliance issues in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Provides training to team on policies, regulations, and processes.
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll tax.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and eight to ten years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 years’ experience processing in-house full cycle multi-state payroll.
- Experience working in a company with more than 3,000 employees
- Accounting and auditing experience required.

Computer Skills
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Work, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ultimate Software experience preferred
