Drive the evolution of automation at scale by leading a team responsible for AI Ops and IT service management platforms. You will shape how automation is architected and delivered across cloud, infrastructure, and network domains, combining deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership to define robust, future-ready solutions.
Working across Network, Workplace, Infrastructure, Database, and Security teams, you will guide the full development lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping through to production support—using Agile and Scrum practices. The role blends architecture, engineering leadership, and delivery oversight, with a strong emphasis on AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to unlock smarter, data-driven operations. You will also manage internal and external development resources while mentoring engineers to raise technical standards and delivery consistency.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of automation solutions and AI Ops frameworks across cloud, infrastructure, and IT service management platforms.
- Define and drive automation strategy through close collaboration with Network, Workplace, Infrastructure, Database, and Security teams.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, applying Agile and Scrum methodologies to deliver applications and prototypes.
- Architect and guide technical solutions, partnering with senior developers and architects to ensure optimal design and feasibility.
- Direct the evaluation, prototyping, and implementation of new automation approaches and emerging technologies.
- Manage and mentor internal teams and external vendors, supporting resource planning and capability development.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives while tracking delivery progress and team velocity.
- Identify and remove delivery impediments, enabling teams to meet sprint and release goals with transparency and accountability.
- Ensure ongoing support and maintenance of AI Ops and ITSM platforms, including availability for 24x7 operational needs when required.
- Promote best practices, standards, and continuous improvement across tools, processes, and development approaches.
Requirements
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years’ solid development experience in IT, including at least 3 years in a team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Solid experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, chatbot technologies, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Proven experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong automation development experience with a data-focused and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience with JavaScript, “Phytol” (as stated in source), Ansible, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), PowerShell, RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
- Solid experience with both NoSQL databases and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) and monitoring tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, ELK stack).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring and empowering teams.
- Willingness to provide 24 x 7 x 365 support as required.
