We are seeking a detail-oriented Technician with experience in reading and accurately interpreting shop blueprints, technical drawings, and customer specifications. The role involves using precision measuring instruments and powered hand tools to ensure high-quality aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately interpret shop blueprints, technical drawings, and customer specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
• Operate powered electric and pneumatic hand tools such as grinders or sanders.
• Remove burrs, blend, and polish surfaces using grinders and similar tools.
• Perform work in compliance with prints and written specifications.
• Select appropriate methods and tools to comply with specifications.
• Operate tumblers and handle loading and unloading of tumbler hoppers.

• Experience in reading shop blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with powered hand tools such as grinders or sanders.
• Ability to perform repeated tasks with acute attention to detail.

• Aerospace manufacturing experience is advantageous.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 1 – 50 lbs frequently.
• Capability to squat, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing environment where you may be exposed to loud noises and machinery with moving parts. The work environment temperature ranges between 55 – 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The position requires wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing. The work schedule is a day shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
