Job Summary:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer Manager holds a leadership role for the Manufacturing Engineering team and is responsible for machining and special process development, CNC and CMM programming, tool and fixture design and fabrication, including the validation of all processes and programs for use on the shop floor. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer Manager provides ongoing support for Value Stream leadership in the areas of productivity improvement and lead time reduction, takes a leadership role with Operations regarding New Product Development activities and is responsible for ensuring that all customer and internal cost requirements are met or exceeded.
Essential Functions:
- Manage all aspects of manufacturing process development, assembly and test process, tool design and fabrication and Statistical Process Control; Ensure timely and accurate completion of project tasks through diligent coordination of all resources, and non-manufacturing processes to achieve process control to acceptable levels as dictated by company policy and customer requirements
- Drive process improvement, set-up reduction and the development of visual standard work to support cost reduction, productivity and lead time reduction goals; Champion change
- Lead and support Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen activities to support Crane Business Systems initiatives and goals
- Evaluate and approve all Engineering requests for development work to ensure feasibility, determine make/buy status, and prioritize workload
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the lowest cost to manufacture new or revised products inclusive of labor, materials, burdens, tooling equipment and facilities
- Prepare departmental budgets; Monitor and control the expenses of the Manufacturing Engineering function within departmental budget constraints
- Manage the investigation, selection, justification and appropriation of capital equipment for operations
- For all functions of the site Operations, manage the development and maintenance of AS9100 documentation, and insure compliance with all related processes and procedures
- Support new product introduction for all internally manufactured components on all new products and programs to include full participation in IPT activities
- Develop and maintain all CNC programming, as applicable
- Responsible for the efficient operation of various support functions, including Model shop, Tool Room and Tool Crib, as applicable
- Responsible for the guidance and direction of all assigned personnel insuring that company policy and work rules are adhered to and activities are in compliance with the Bargaining Unit Agreement, as applicable
- Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Top Benefits:
Salary range: $179,816.00 to $211,868.80. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
