What You Will Do:
- Serve as the electrical and automation controls support for production
- Diagnose faults and modify PLC programs, system architecture and network infrastructure as required, perform electrical troubleshooting using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools including sensors, motors, VFDs, cables, contactors, cell-level interface, servo and motion faults, Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, and basic control components as required, perform PLC backups, maintain documentation, and implement program updates (ladder logic, function blocks, structured text as needed), configure, troubleshoot, and replace VFDs, servo drives, motors, and other electrical control components and troubleshoot and repair I/O devices including sensors, relays, safety circuits, and distributed I/O systems
- Diagnose and resolve industrial network communication issues (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and related protocols), support root cause analysis for automation-related downtime and implement corrective actions and support robotics interface signals and integration with production systems
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve system reliability and performance and liaise and coordinate with third party contractors
- Document work in SAP maintenance management suite (CMMS) and properly utilize the shop floor Andon system
- Lift up, push, pull, bend, squat, climb, stand, walk, and twist hands, work in a confined space and maintain a forklift license
- Travel up to 10 to equipment manufactures and training
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent demonstrated experience) in Industrial Electrical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Maintenance, and 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting automated systems in a manufacturing environment
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract
- Strong working knowledge of PLC software and hardware platforms
- Experience modifying ladder logic and function block programming
- Experience troubleshooting VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and safety circuits
- Ability to diagnose and resolve industrial network communication issues
- Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience supporting high-speed or high-volume manufacturing environments
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Ignition, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite
- Experience with industrial network diagnostics tools
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in industrial control systems
- Experience leading automation improvement or capital upgrade projects
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills
- OSHA 30, Lean/Six Sigma experience
