Pratt and Whitney (PW) has an opening for a Database Developer (External Identity Application) 

Job Summary: 

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Developer/Administrator with strong expertise in Postgres SQL and/or Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing stored procedures, complex queries, and scripting to support business-critical enterprise databases. Experience working with RESTful APIs and familiarity with Azure cloud database products are also essential. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, optimize, and maintain stored procedures, queries, and scripts for enterprise-grade Postgres SQL and/or Oracle databases. 

• Ensure the performance, integrity, and security of database systems supporting critical business applications. 

• Leverage RESTful APIs effectively and use Postman for testing and integration. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions aligned with business needs. 

• Support database deployment, migrations, and upgrades, particularly in Azure cloud environments. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. 

• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives. 

• Document database processes, standards, and best practices. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience working on Identity Provider Platforms such as Ping Identity, ForgeRock, Okta, or similar. 

• Familiarity with network architecture and related concepts. 

• Knowledge of Authentication Protocols including OAuth/OIDC, SAML, HTTP Header, JWT, and Proxy-Based Authentication solutions. 

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform and Azure hosted database services. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. 

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a database administrator and/or developer with strong Postgres SQL and/or Oracle expertise. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
