The Executive of Network Services, will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define and execute the vision, mission, and strategic direction for GE Aerospace’s network architecture and service offerings. As a key member of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) leadership team, this role will oversee an enterprise-wide portfolio of products and services designed to deliver a seamless, modern, and robust experience for GE Aerospace’s global workforce.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

This role will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive roadmap for all network services will focus on building and leading an end-to-end team dedicated to delivering, managing, and continuously enhancing the network ecosystem.  

  • Lead a team responsible for ensuring operational excellence and delivering an industry-leading network experience . 

  • Manage a team of managers and highly technical domain experts. 

  • Establish and drive the infrastructure vision for the Aerospace business, including WAN, DNS, and third-party connectivity services. 

  • Possess a deep understanding of the market and competing product offerings, utilizing advanced analytical thought and industry knowledge to make complex judgments, often with incomplete information. Stay abreast of industry and market trends to assess their potential impact on the enterprise and its technology architecture. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party partners to enhance capabilities. 

  • Be accountable for all systems supporting the wing-to-wing experience, including Middleware, purpose-built solutions, and third-party integrations. 

  • Collaborate with security and compliance functions to ensure products meet all security requirements and provide necessary control structures for the business. 

  • Work closely with executive-level leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic plans and develop continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback from employees, end users, support teams, and CIO/CTO. 

  • Engage with product owners across the enterprise to understand market needs and vision, swiftly translating that vision into capabilities. 

  • Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to identify critical deficiencies, legacy issues, and technical debt, recommending and implementing solutions for improvement. 

  • Oversee budget planning, resource management, and execution timelines. 

  • Advocate for new technology, predict trends, and identify opportunities based on emerging trends. Serve as an industry expert by contributing to the definition of development standards and initiatives. 

  • Document necessary enterprise technology architecture design and analysis work, potentially including project postmortem documentation and metric collection. 

  • Apply technology and operational best practices in design, development, and implementation standards to enable highly available, scalable, and reliable network services. 

  • Monitor and optimize service performance, ensuring security in a high-availability environment. 

  • Collaborate with vendors to manage their performance, uphold SLA commitments, and ensure products/services remain financially competitive. 

  • Coordinate a 24/7 support team comprised of GE employees and vendors as needed, ensuring resolution of service-impacting issues within SLA. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 12 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 15 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 17 years of professional experience 

  • Minimum 9 years of professional experience in a variety of IT functional and leadership roles 

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a People Leader 

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
