Job Description:


The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department, managing mid-level projects, and ensuring efficient coordination of personnel and resources across a geographically dispersed and operationally complex organization. This working management role supports a variety of operational and administrative functions, requiring strong organizational skills, trade knowledge, and effective communication across teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in facilities or operations management
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience required; 5+ years preferred. Knowledge of trade-related functions and general building systems
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and cloud-based file systems 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to travel
  • Flexible work schedule / ability to work overtime as needed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee mid-level projects from initiation through completion, including estimating and coordinating project timelines
  • Provide daily supervision and support for facilities staff; serve as a liaison between team members and the Facilities Director.
  • Act as a working supervisor, actively participating in departmental tasks as needed
  • Lead project coordination efforts, including cross-functional collaboration with IT and other departments
  • Review and monitor facilities case tickets, ensuring timely resolution and quality outcomes
  • Oversee the purchase order process and perform credit card reconciliations
  • Manage and maintain accurate filing systems within OneDrive
  • Oversee furniture needs and related procurement or installation efforts
  • Serve as a backup for all roles within the facilities department, ensuring operational continuity
  • Manage and generate Quality Management and Safety reports; participate in QM committee activities.
  • Administer and optimize preventative maintenance software systems
  • Ensure efficient daily operations of the facilities department
  • Ensure all facilities are maintained in compliance with OSHA, ADA, environmental standards, and Life Flight Network safety policies.
  • Maintain strong organizational practices and promote a team-oriented work environment
