Job Title: Forklift Driver/Inventory SpecialistJob Description
The position is responsible for the accurate accounting of inventory including receiving, processing, recording, and distributing supplies and materials. The role also involves performing a variety of clerical duties including data entry and maintenance of files and records.
Responsibilities
- Receive and release containers, including processing all documentation associated with the activity.
- Clean inside and outside of containers in accordance with documentation and under the supervision of authorized personnel.
- Interact with drivers of transport companies during deliveries and release of containers from the facility.
- Prepare outgoing containers for shipment, including cleaning and testing per approved documentation.
- Coordinate directly with Logistics and Customer Service to ensure proper documentation and requirements for special instructions pertaining to inbound and outbound loads (BOLs, Shipping Labels, Delivery Orders, etc.).
- Enter appropriate information in inventory systems as required.
- Operate simple warehouse equipment as necessary.
- Perform other related manual tasks as assigned.

Work Environment
This position is located at a repair facility at ORD. The facility provides a very clean environment and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The company is a provider of cold chain shipping solutions for airlines, freight forwarders, and life sciences companies.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
