ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Northern Air Maintenance Services (NAMS) is an FAA certified 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. We are the sole maintenance provider for ConocoPhillips fleet of three DHC-8-400 (Q400) aircraft. In addition to maintenance services, NAMS handles ground operations, inventory control, and passenger screening for all flights between Anchorage, Kuparuk and Alpine. With over 70 dedicated employees, we also provide contract maintenance for two DHC-6-300/400 Twin Otters and one CASA 212-300 aircraft based in Alpine, AK.

SALARY
- The starting pay for this role begins at $26.32 with experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Participate in overall delivery of responsive, quality Human Resources services to company employees and managers. Also assists and coordinates all administrative duties within NAMS by working independently with all departments and the customer.
DUTIES:
- Answer phones and direct callers to the appropriate department employee.
- Assist hiring managers by scheduling interviews and processing new employees onboarding as needed.
- Prepare hard copy and electronic information packets for New Hire Orientation
- Company liaison representative with Ted Stevens Anchorage Airport Badging office, responsible for all visitor and SIDA badging processes and audits
- Completes expense reports for self and for managers as needed
- Administer Employee Recognition Program, including coordination of employee recognition events.
- Assist with event planning, including coordination with vendors and venues, creating and sending invitations, preparing gifts or other materials, etc.
- Creates and edits in-house posters, newsletters, organization charts, technical drawings, forms, and SharePoint lists and power forms.
- Coordinates in state and out of state travel needs for all departments
- Distribute compliance materials throughout company buildings on and off airport property.
- Assist employees with routine questions such as how to find information in HRIS self-service portal
- Assist DER with administration of Drug and Alcohol policy.
- Correspond with employees with benefit cutoff date.
- Maintains company conference room calendars
- Notary duties for NAMS and backup for sister companies
- Serves as liaison with technical support staff, facility maintenance and contractors for office equipment and building maintenance
- Oversee building tasks such as managing broken printers, computers, breakrooms, and addressing any damage to the facility
- Corporate and personal information confidentiality is required.
- Assist with creation of and editing of technical publications as needed
- Assist the training manager with scanning of documentation as needed
- Assist HR Department in identifying efficiencies and finding ways to leverage technology to improve processes.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and authorities as assigned by the NAMS VP/GM
POSITION QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have at least 18-months clerical experience performing duties of similar scope and complexity. Prefer human resources experience or related education.
- Demonstrate at least intermediate ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Strongly prefer advanced skills with MS Office.
- Must be able to manage tasks in a remote work environment using tools such as Microsoft Teams, phone, e-mail, etc.
- Must demonstrate ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully completing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and interact successfully with internal and external stakeholders.
- Need a high level of organizational skills and demonstrated track record of working well under pressure.
- Position requires professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Regular attendance at a 5 day a week job is required.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check and security threat assessment.
- Need valid drivers license and good driving record.
- Experience with UKG, Adobe products, and WebManuals preferred.

- Ability to write business correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond verbally and in writing to management, peers, and external stakeholders.

- Position has a high level of contact with staff and management throughout the organization.

- Positions at this level will encounter varying degrees of stress throughout the month, including some periods of high stress.
