Functional Responsibilities
Key contact person at MRO to provide up to date progress of aircraft check activities and coordinating the turnaround of aircraft at MRO on time for operations. Also providing sound technical advice and guidance to MRO in complex cases to resolve technical issues.
Functional Duties
a. Responsible for the day to day monitoring of aircraft checks at MRO ensuring strict compliance to Air Asia‟s requirement in terms of quality, costs, and duration to meet operations demand.
b. Co-ordinate with CAMO Material to ensure adequate and timely supply of pre-load and ad-hoc spares so that work can start at the earliest opportunity.
c. Track the progress of the work daily according to plan. Make presence at the aircraft.
d. Monitor and evaluate non-routine defects. Estimate downtime, manhours, materials requirement and any other support required from AirAsia.
e. Ensure awareness of the Check package and its entire contents for those performing the work.
f. When a requirement for major defect rectification arises, raise Work Order
g. Request and co-ordinate with CAMO Planning, CAMO Material and the MRO‟s Check Supervisor for an orderly repair. Make request for extra manpower allocation and extended working hours (overtime) as necessary.
h. Ensure each work item is performed within the man hours stipulated in the Maintenance Programme.
i. Attend pre input meetings, check update meetings and highlighting issues that may arise
j. Vet thru over and above charges for manpower verification before final approval
k. Authorize and control part requisitions to ensure that only necessary required parts are requested.
Track all requisitions to receiving of parts and against work card requirement.
l. Ensure aircraft is on schedule. If it is not on schedule, work with the MRO to bring the Check back on chedule.
m. Report any accident / incident occurrence to CAMO Quality
n. Check and inspect the Technical Log, ensure all documents are in order and Check released.
o. Any other relevant duties as assigned by Lead, Technical Representative
Traits
a. Possess personal traits: friendly, mature, humble, honest, meticulous; self-starter; able to perform
under pressure in a challenging environment.
b. Proficient in oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
c. Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access.
d. Ability to maintain high confidentiality, tactfulness and discretion when dealing with people.
e. Capable of imparting knowledge to new trainees.
f. Confidence in theory as well as in practical demonstrations.
g. High Sense of commitment and dedication.
h. Independent with good work ethics.
i. High comfort level working in a diverse environment.
j. Able to travel as it is required.
Merits
Minimum working experience:
a. At least 5 years’ experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management
b. Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and standards applicable to airworthiness of the aircraft (Part M, Part 145, CAAM CAD etc)
Education:
Obtaining Aircraft Maintenance License (AML)
Professional qualifications:
Training required for the position (if any):
1. Formal aeronautical maintenance training
2. Mandatory and Recurrent training as required by regulation
