Paint Sprayer – Aerospace Component Parts

Pay: 22.64 PAYE / 31.14 Umbrella
Contract: Ongoing
Morson Talent are recruiting for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in Cambridge. This role is based within the Special Processing department, which manages a high volume of production shop orders daily and plays a critical role in ensuring aerospace and defence programmes are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
The Role:
You will be responsible for painting aerospace and land system metallic and composite parts, working to strict engineering drawings, quality requirements, and industry approvals (NADCAP & OEM). In addition, you may also cover chemical processes and heat treatment activities (full training provided).
Key Responsibilities:

Painting aerospace and defence metallic and composite parts, including sub-assemblies

Applying paints in line with internal and external aerospace approvals

Working to schedules to achieve on-time delivery and meet customer quality requirements

Following Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work at all times

Supporting continuous improvement activities

Covering additional processes (chemical/heat treatment) with training provided

Flexibility for potential shift work
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Apprenticeship including NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds (or equivalent training)

5 GCSEs (A–C or equivalent)

Ability to follow detailed engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications

Commitment to high-quality standards

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Desirable:
-
Experience with NADCAP, Boeing, or Lockheed Martin engineering requirements

Previous experience in a continuous improvement environment
